Taigh Mhuirne self-catering town house
  1. Telephone or e-mail bookings will be provisionally held for 7 days, after which time they will be cancelled if not secured by a deposit.
  2. A deposit of 30% is required to secure a booking.
  3. The balance to be paid 4 weeks before arrival date. For bookings made less than 4 weeks in advance, full payment is required at the time of booking. For new bookings made after Easter 2012, a £100 refundable “good housekeeping deposit” is required at the same time as the balance of 70%. The £100 will be returned in full if the property is left tidy and without damage caused by guests.
  4. If you have to cancel your holiday your deposit/full payment will only be refunded if an alternative renter for the period can be found. For new bookings made after Easter 2012, the £100 good housekeeping deposit will be returned in full if you have to cancel your holiday.
  5. If the property cannot be made available for the period booked due to events beyond the owner's control and the booking is cancelled, the whole of the hire charge will be refunded and the hirer will have no further claim against the owner.

  6. Payment methods are by cheque, cash, GBP travellers’ cheques, Paypal or BACS and should be made out to Shauna MacMillan.
  7. Period of hire starts 4pm on day of arrival and ends at 10am on day of departure. Hire is on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. During low season, short breaks are available with the exception of Christmas and New Year periods where weekly lets apply. Failure to vacate the property on the agreed day at the agreed time will result in additional charges and any consequential losses if the next renter decides to withdraw.
  8. A well-behaved pet is allowed on the property by arrangement. Owners are expected to keep their pet under control and not allow it in the bedrooms or on the furniture. Owners must clear any fouling around the property and garden area. Any additional cleaning required will result in additional charges. Your pet should not be left unsupervised in the house/garden for an extended period of time. Please bring your pet's own bedding.
  9. “Taigh Mhuirne” is a non-smoking establishment.
  10. No more than 6 people plus baby are to occupy the property.

  11. The property is to be left in a clean and tidy condition. Leaving it dirty will require appropriate compensation from the renter.
  12. Clients are asked to respect all furniture, fittings and equipment and to report any breakages or damage so that it may be repaired or replaced as soon as possible. Any damage to the property or contents during the stay will require appropriate compensation from the renter. Normally anything under £10 will not incur.
  13. If the property is not rentable due to your activities you will be responsible for covering loss of income.
  14. Owners reserve the right to enter the property to carry out an inspection or repairs.
  15. The owners have no liability for any death, personal injury or damage or loss of personal property.
  16. The renter is responsible for any material downloaded from the internet during the period of occupation of the property.
  17. The property is in a residential area and guests are asked to be behave in a manner mindful of neighbours’ rights.
